The Essence of Virgo: Modesty, Strength, and Radiance
Virgo the Virgin (August 23 - September 22), shares its Earth element with Taurus and Capricorn. Virgo is celebrated for their practicality, attention to detail, intelligence, reliability, and analytical abilities. Represented by the virgin, Virgo is known for their modesty and purity of purpose, much like a diligent worker in service to their goals. Their meticulous nature allows them to excel in organizing and problem-solving, making them dependable individuals who quietly but effectively lead through their competence in any situation they encounter.
Ruled by Mercury, Virgos possess precision, practicality, analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. These traits make them excellent planners and problem-solvers, well-suited for careers in research, administration, and technical fields.
Virgo's main birth flowers are Chrysanthemum, Aster, Violet and Honeysuckle. Each of these flowers reflects Virgo's tough and loyal personality, symbolizing their wellbeing and friendship. Just like these flowers, Virgos stand out in any environment, their fierce loyalty always present..
Virgo’s birthstones are Peridot and Sardonyx, their Bach Flower is Centaury, their NZ First Light Flower essences are no 16, 17 and 18. In Medical Astrology, Virgo governs the intestines and nervous system which is the Sacral Chakra. However, Virgo is also linked to the Throat Chakra due to the fact their sign is ruled by Mercury.
Australian Bush Flower Essence – Devic White Light Essence
You may not be aware of this very potent range, however, if you’re a Virgo light worker or Virgo is in your 6th House, you will want to know more about this essence.
This Essence was prepared on the summer solstice in the Chalice Well Garden in Glastonbury, England. The Devic Essence helps to establish very strong links with the Devic kingdom, while its spiritual healing quality returns one to a place of simplicity and blissful peace. It brings about a feeling of total oneness — being at one with absolutely everything and far less concerned and preoccupied with the hassle and problems of life. It enables one to contact and communicate with nature, and to listen to any message the plant kingdom has for us.
This remedy attunes you with qualities such as healing, from the Devic kingdom and will help to earth anyone who is ungrounded or out of control, connecting them back to nature. The Devic Essence is very good to soothe and calm those who are stressed out, wound up, stuck for time or feel disconnected.
The Devic Essence assists us to care for ourselves on a spiritual level and brings about a devotional, nurturing quality within us for ourselves and others as well as nature. Most importantly, it will help you to remember why you are here, and assist those who remember their destiny to take action and become more passionate about their life path once again. The Devic Essence also allows us to appreciate the great importance of knowing and remembering that we are a soul being that has, but is not, a physical body and can be used for people close to passing over.

Chakras and Crystal Healing
Virgo rules the Intestines, which includes the Ileocecal valve, the connection between your small and large intestine, which happens to be in the sacral chakra region, hence I've selected this blend.
It also represents our creative energy and is typically associated with our reproductive organs and sexual energy, however when our intestines aren't working efficiently, we don't have spare energy for creativity and our libido is down.
Alure Sacral Chakra Essential Oil Blend

Aromatherapy
When it comes to essential oils and astrology, there are so many variations it can get confusing – every book has a different list. So here’s what’s worked for me in my clinic and personal space, as well as what my intuition has fed me. I tend to work with the ruling planet and elements, the moon phase, the astrological sign (it shows up our weak areas), and intuition along with the science of essential oils. This month we have:
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) has an earthy, fruity and floral aroma that is both nutty and herbaceous, sweet and heady that has been used by aromatherapists for its ability to ease muscle and nervous tension, pain, balancing uterine issues, menstrual cramps, PMS, and menopause problems such as hot flashes, while slightly stimulating the adrenal glands. It also has oestrogenic action.
Emotionally it is relaxing and euphoric, enhancing dreams and producing smiles. Clary helps rejuvenate hair and mature or inflamed skin, and reduces dandruff, as well as cleaning greasy hair.
Actions: Antidepressant, antispasmodic, deodorant, emmenagogue, hypotensive, nervine, sedative, tonic and uterine
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) with its sweet floral, herbaceous, refreshing aroma with a woody-balsamic undertone is the perfect oil for your first aid kit.
PLavender treats lung, sinus, and vaginal infections (including candida), and relieves muscle pain, headaches, insect bites, cystitis, and other types of inflammation. It is also used for digestive disturbances, including colic, and boosts immunity. A skin-cell regenerator, lavender prevents scarring and stretch marks, and has a reputation for slowing wrinkles. It is suitable for all complexion types, as well as for burns, sun damage, wounds, rashes, and skin infections. Specific for central-nervous system problems, lavender has been used to help nervousness, exhaustion, insomnia, irritability, depression, and even manic depression.
Analgesic, anticonvulsive, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericide, carminative, cholagogue, cicatrisant, cordial, cytophylactic, decongestant, deodorant, emmenagogue, fungicide, hypotensive, nervine, restorative, sedative, sudorific, vulnerary
Labdanum(Cistus labdaniferus) has a powerful and clinging odour reminiscent of ambergris with its musty yet sweet warm aroma connects on all levels and is recommended for use during meditations and psychic connections with your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual self.
Labdanum is beneficial in lymphatic drainage massage as it helps reduce swollen lymph nodes. Tests have shown it to be effective against Staphyloccus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans which makes it a very good oil to use for varicose ulcers and bed sores, as well as eczema, psoriasis and similar chronic skin disorders. Emotionally, it is similar to the Bach Flower Remedy Rock Rose (same plant) in that it can help with shock and trauma. On a more gentle note, it enhances assertiveness, creativity, performance and self-awareness, and is used to help with addictions, forgetfulness, insomnia and quarrelsome... and as I write this I'm thinking this is the perfect oil for helping to treat the effects of concussion and wish I'd known that back in the day!
Antimicrobial, antiseptic, astringent, emmenagogue, expectorant, sedative, vulnerary
If you don't have any of these oils, you'll find a selection of them here
