Blends for Libra and Spring using Chamomile German, Geranium and Spearmint
Spring is here down under, the wind is up and allergy season is starting!
Here are some recipes to soothe your nerves and stimulate your senses. Below you will find some blends that you can add to your bathing routine, body care products or diffuser, as well as my favourite, the sniffy stick.
I love Sniffy Sticks as they are easy to carry around in your bag, and your kids can take them to school or carry them in their pocket because they're not glass like a rollon.

Here's one of my first blends for my son Kyle which became part of the Amor Babycare Range
Immune System Booster Blend with 100ml Grapeseed Oil and massage onto your baby's skin when their immune system is down, or a virus is running through the family.
Blend with 100ml Olive Oil and massage onto your baby's bottom for Nappy Rash |
Here's a lovely refreshing Spritzer blend to cool and soothe your skin from LabAroma.
Soothing Spritz, 100ml Blend in your bottle, shake well and for best results, leave to infuse for 24 hrs.
Apply to your Face or any areas that contain a rash that feels hot to cool it down. |
Here's an easy Floral Water blend to create.
Spearmint Floral Water, 100ml Blend the essential oil and Solubilser together in your bottle and slowly add your distilled water. |
This is a soothing blend for adult skin that is sensitive and tends to flare up as the weather is warmer
Sensitive Skin Blend Blend in a bottle and add 2 drops to your diffuser in your bedroom, or add 1 drop to a tissue and have it by your pillow that you can sniff as required. |
When we're feeling scratchy on the outside, we're scratchy emotionally as well.
Fretfulness Diffuser Blend
Blend in your bottle, add 1-2 drops to your diffuser. For a child in daycare or school, add to a sniffy stick so they can have it on them. |
Here's a different blend to help heal itchy pustular thinning skin from conditions like Psoriasis.
Soothing & Healing Skin Balm, 50gm 10 drops Lavender essential oil Melt the cocoa and shea butters in a double boiler. [Keep in the fridge for a cooling effect when massaging into your skin. |
Bruises can be painful as they heal, so this blend will help soothe and stimulate the tissue to repair faster
Bruise Repair Oil, 10ml Add your vegetable oils to your bottle, add your essential oils and shake to blend. |
With having itchy skin, scratching can introduce fungal infections which can get into the nails.
Healthy Nails Solution Add all ingredients to 25ml dropper bottle and leave to infuse for 48 hours. Apply to nail beds and massage in to stimulate growth and heal any fungal infections. This formula helps protect the nail beds from developing fungal infections and can be used on the feet for athletes foot too. |
This lovely blend can be a perfume, a diffuser blend, or added to a soap base.
Spring Garden Blend and add to your base of preference or just add drops to your diffuser. |
* Bergamot - if using in the morning, use the Bergamot Bergaptene-Free essential oil to prevent sun damage to your exposed skin.

How best to use your sniffy stick
Blend essential oils in blending bottle and add drops to one end of the cotton wick as per recommendations below and seal in tube.
Insert inhaler gently in nostril, and press finger against other nostril to close it.
Inhale gently, then swap sides and repeat.
Use 2-4 times a day.
Stop using if headaches occur!
Dosage:
1 drop Children aged 2-5,
2 drops Children aged 5-8
3 drops Children aged 9-13, Pregnant Women and Elderly
4-7 drops 13+
