Taurus the Bull with Esoterical Elements

Taurus the Bull (April 20 – May 20) is an Earth Sign along with Virgo and Capricorn and they are known for their practicality, patience, hard work, loyalty, productivity, reliability, and grounded nature. They are like the builders of the zodiac, creating stable foundations for themselves and others.

Taurus is a fixed sign ruled by Venus, they’re sensual in their quiet way, steadfast and stubborn, and provide stability. They’re also creative as well as being natural providers for their families (which can tend towards being workaholics if they feel they are under pressure financially). Which sums up my grandmother, stepfather who I lost in ’75, husband and our 2 Taurean daughters rather well – yep, I’m surrounded by them! ?

When I looked into all the different aspects for Taurus, it was interesting to discover that it has 5 birth flowers rather than the usual one. These are Poppy, Rose, Lily, Daisy, and Foxglove. The birthstone is Emerald, the Bach Flower is Gentian, the NZ First Light Flower essences are #4, #5 & #6, and recommended essential oils are Cypress and Rose. The area of the body Taurus governs is the Neck, larynx, throat, vocal cords, thyroid gland, tonsils and Adam's apple, teeth and gums, which links it to the Throat Chakra and the Healing Crystals are all blue. Now that was a bit of a mouthful… let’s break it all down ?

Australian Bush Flower Essence – Earth White Light Essence

You may not be aware of this very potent range, however, if you’re a Taurean light worker or Taurus is in your 6th House, you will want to know more about this essence.

Australian Bush Flowers White Light Earth Essence

Prepared in the sacred cave at the village of Patal Bhuvaneshwar in the north of India. The Earth Essence helps to heal internal structure and order in life and is a very important grounding remedy, especially for those doing a great deal of Spiritual work. This Essence allows one to tune into the subtle realms and vibrations. It fosters a strong connection, respect and reverence to nature, the Ancients, the earth, the life-force, life and the origins of life. It enables “Light workers” to find their drive and move forward with purpose. This Essence will allow them to be centred, grounded and find their direction and then proceed forward with clarity and focus.

The Earth Essence helps establish a connection with the Manu of a country, thereby allowing you access and connection to the Essence or vibrational quality of that country.

 Bach Flower Essence – Gentian

For those of you who know your Bach Flower remedies, this may seem a strange choice. The Taurean is dependable and likes to deliver everything on time. However, if they can’t deliver they can feel discouraged and depressed, wondering if the output is good enough, and that’s where Gentian steps in, helping to stop the negative self-talk of questioning everything.

 Birth Stone

Emerald is the stone of Venus, the Egyptians and the Incas. Its linked to love and compassion, mental clarity and intuition, soothes the emotions, improves memory and promotes overall well-being. However, we can’t all afford emeralds so moving on to the next best thing if gemstones are your thing…

 Chakras and Crystal Healing

The Throat chakra, also known as the Vishuddha chakra, is the energy centre associated with communication, self-expression, and creativity. When this chakra is balanced, it allows us to express our thoughts, feelings, and ideas freely. However, if it’s blocked or unbalanced, communication difficulties and self-judgment may arise. To harmonize and activate the throat chakra, you can work with specific crystals and stones by wearing them as a necklace, on your wrist (throat chakra of your arm) or even in your pocket. Here are some powerful options:

But what about the crystals for Taurus I hear you ask?

 Aromatherapy

When it comes to essential oils and astrology, there are so many variations it can get confusing – every book has a different list. So here’s what’s worked for me in my clinic and personal space, as well as what my intuition has fed me. I tend to work with the ruling planet and elements, the moon phase, the astrological sign (it shows up our weak areas), and intuition along with the science of essential oils.

Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) to clear stagnation in the body, cleanse the lymphatic system so the throat and tonsils don’t get clogged up, freeing them to be able to express themselves. Soothing when you’re feeling angry or stressed. Ruled by Saturn and the element Earth. antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, deodorant, diuretic, haemostatic, hepatic, styptic, sudorific, venous decongestant, tonic

Bath

Rose (Rosa centifolia, Rosa damascena) to nurture their overworked self, to help them feel reassured and loved, enhancing self-awareness and sensuality. Ruled by Venus and the element Water. Antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, anxiolytic, aphrodisiac, astringent, bactericidal, choleretic, cicatrisant, depurative, emmenagogue, hepatic, laxative, sedative (nervous system), stomachic, tonic (heart, liver, stomach, uterus)

Bath

Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) is ruled by Venus and its element is Earth which is why I’ve included it in this list, as it’s the epitome of Taurus with its musty earthy odour… see where I’m going here…. Anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, anxiolytic, insecticidal, mild rubefacient, sedative, tonic, vermifuge

Bath

If you don't have any of these oils, you'll find a selection of them here

 Flower Meanings and Symbolism

Let’s start with the Birth Flowers:poppy, rose, lily, daisy, foxglove bouquet

  • Poppy - sleep, dreams, and the realm of imagination. Its association with slumber dates back to ancient times. The red poppy also symbolizes undying love—a poignant sentiment.
  • Rose – The pink rose is associated with Taurus. Elegance, femininity, and gratitude. Their shades convey different meanings: light pink for admiration, dark pink for appreciation.
  • Lily – a symbol of fertility, purity, and remembrance, reflecting the circle of life.
  • Daisy - love, affection, and admiration. Their gentle petals convey sentiments of fondness. In spirituality, daisies represent faith and eternal life.
  • Foxglove – Grace and Honor. Foxglove flowers symbolize the divine feminine, love, femininity, and intuition.

 Moon Energy

I became interested in Astrology and Moon cycles back in 1981 at the tender age of 14 when my mother bought the book Secrets From A Stargazer’s Notebook: Making Astrology Work For You by Debbie Kempton Smith In this book there was a huge section about the moon phases and as it passes through each zodiac sign, so I learnt how to create and read natal charts back in the days before we had computers spitting them out in 2 seconds. Over the years I’ve dabbled on and off with moon energy including buying my moonstone pendant surrounded by rubies (my birthstone) which I bought from an antique dealer when I lived in Devonport at the tender age of 20, having Moon Ritual Cards with floating candles for full and new moon rituals, and my life has definitely flowed better when I’ve been immersed in it. When in Australia earlier this year, I discovered the book Moonology by Yasmin Boland and thought it was time to get back into sync, which is an interesting concept for a post-menopausal woman (not that my cycle ever followed any moon rhythms).

Amor Clinic with Taurean Moon

I’m a Cancerian, ruled by the Moon, with my Moon in Aquarius. “Ya what…???” My husband is also Moon in Aquarius, so this is where we really connect and understand each other. Our Aquarian moon means we’re the most unreasonable of reasonable people, love to hear about science, need gadgets, and have to have our own systems for doing things – our own way! My book even says that we love to make the world a better place and we prefer to think and read than do housework! Lol

As you receive this, the Full Moon is in Scorpio… now that’s pretty racy so if you’re reading this before you head out tonight, expect the passions to be flowing, and if you’re reading this the next day and wondering “how did that happen?", blame it on Scorpio. Some of my wildest and passionate night outs when I was single were under a Scorpio full moon with the help of my Sexy Pampering Blend… and all I will say is that they have given me some awesome memories for my old age! ? Did you know with dementia you predominantly live back in your 20s and 30s… make the most of them *wink symbol*.

The New Moon on the 8th May is in Taurus. The New Moon is about setting intentions, the Full Moon is about activating them.
