SynCranberry Mica

Colorona® SynCranberry is a synthetic mica manufactured in the laboratory which is starting to become a popular option for some who don't like the idea of using pure minerals due to the possible heavy metal content or aren't sure about the ethics of mica mining and its impact on the environment.  However, it is much finer than natural mica, floats in the air easily and you do need to wear a face mask when formulating with it to prevent inhalation, or it can cause fibrosis in your lungs. 

Colorona® Syn and Timiron® Syn range exhibit an attractive metallic shine based on synthetic mica. These effects display pure white powder colours that offer a clear colour impact for your formulation. Whether you choose a Colorona® Syn effect for saturated colour or a Timiron® Syn pigment for an interference effect, benefit from the lower heavy metal content compared to natural mica-based pigments.

SynCranberry can be used in colour cosmetics such as lip colours, blushers, eye shadows and other cosmetics that long for added richness and warmth. The selection of gold shades are obtained by varying particle size and the ratio of iron oxide to titanium dioxide.

Blends well with most colours.

Add to soaps, cosmetics, lotions - lots of fun to play with and adds sparkle!

Particle size 5-40 micron

Ingredients: 46.0-56.0% synthetic mica (fluorphlogopite) and 7.0-11.0% Fe₂O₃.

Safe for use on eyes, lips, face and nails.

1gm, 5gm and10gm available in a clear resealable plastic bag or styrene plastic cosmetic pot.

5gm & 10gm come with a 0.15cc scoop to make formulating easier.

50gm, 100gm, 250gm are packaged in clear resealable plastic bags.
