2 Calming Blends for Lockdowns - during and beyond

I know some of you have found Covid-19 and lockdowns stressful, overwhelming and emotionally exhausting, especially if you’re juggling home schooling and working! Or, you’re a parent that likes it when your kids have headed off to school and work as that’s your time to breathe and centre yourself.

 

Here are 2 options of blends that you can use to help calm your nerves and your family’s.

 

Blend in a dripolator bottle and add 2-3 drops to a diffuser, or multiply quantity of drops by 10 and add to a 100ml bottle of distilled water and create a mist spray.

 

My Perfumery oils are just as effective in these blends as it’s the aroma calming us emotionally and mentally. 


Bath Time

Calming Blend #1

6 drops Mandarin oil

5 drops Lavender oil 

2 drops Rosewood or Ho Wood oil

2 drops Petitgrain oil

 

Calming Blend #2

3 drops of Sweet Marjoram oil

3 drops Cajeput oil

3 drops Lavender oil 

 

In regards to Lavender essential oil, Lavandula angustifolia (Mt Blanc, Lavender True) are more effective for emotiional wellbeing, however any Lavender will help in this scenario, so if you only have Dentata, Stoechas, etc

 

Don't have Mandarin?  Use any other citrus oil - Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Sweet Orange, Tangerine
