Winter essentialz

Jul012020

For Winter we have Pine oil which comes in several different varieties with Scotch Pine (Pinus sylvestris) being the most common. My personal favourite is Pinus pinaster aka Sea Pine, as it’s soft and sweet.

In magical aromatherapy, Pine is linked with healing, protection, physical energy, purification and money with a planetary influence from Mars.

In subtle aromatherapy, pine clears away stagnant feelings (emotional, spiritual), and brings positivity to self and spaces, so ideal to diffuse in a toxic environment.

It’s wonderful for nervous exhaustion, so if the last few weeks have been a bit much, I highly recommend trying Scotch Pine oil. .

Our Zodiac Oils for this season are:

Pisces

Gemini - Benzoin

Cancer - Cardamom

Leo - Juniper Berry

If the Gemini in your life is a flighty anxious airheads (like my mum), then introduce them to Benzoin with its warm sweet vanilla scent that is revitalising, yet calming and grounding.

My ascendant is Gemini and this is one of my favourite oils when I’m struggling to focus due to many things going on.

As a Cancerian, give me cardamom over coffee any day… I actually add the ground version to my hot chocolate!

We’re an emotional bunch, always caring for the world around us and this warm sweet-spice helps us in the journey, keeping us quietly supported whilst we keep tending to our loved ones!

This fiery bunch like to be the centre of the party, and that can get exhausting at times. Juniper Berry as most will know is the key ingredient for gin, which also likes to be at parties!

This oil has been used for purifying the self and environment for centuries, and helps relieve tiredness and burnout, and relieves aching joints and muscles.
