A gentle blend to help you to connect with your Baby on all levels.
Sometimes it's not always easy to connect with our new little one, whether it's been due to a difficult birth, or a baby that won't settle.
This blend can be used from birth following the strict guidelines below.
- Rose Centifolia - - is the queen of oils, that speaks to your soul and spirit, and continues your connection with your newborn. If your little one is adopted or fostered, or you or someone in your family is feeling disconnected with your child, rose oil will help create a positive connection.
- Mandarin - the soft aroma of mandarin is one of happiness and connection. And it helps stimulate the digestive system and liver function (which is why I recommend using this oil with newborns - helps with the process of their gut changing over from the womb to milk and then solids).
- Amor grapeseed oil base - the gentlest carrier oil available with no known sensitivities or allergies which will also soothe and moisturise baby's sensitive skin.
How to use:
I recommend applying this after your child's bath as that is when the skin's natural acid mantle has just been disturbed which will help this oil be quickly absorbed and utilised within their body.
For Babies 0-2 months (5 - 10 kg), apply approximately 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon (1.25 - 2.5 ml) directly to the skin once a day, preferably at bath time.
For Babies 2-12 months (5 - 10 kg), apply approximately 1/2 - 1 teaspoon (2.5 - 5 ml) directly to the skin once a day, preferably at bath time.

As I trained in massage at the tender age of 20, I knew I wanted my baby to experience massage from birth, so I made up this formula before I had him and he had his first massage when we were on the Maternity Ward of North Shore Hospital, Auckland.
As he didn't like being picked up and cuddled, and reacted to my breast milk, and preferred cuddles from anyone but me, this bathtime routine became our special bonding time together.
I also used this a lot with my son after his first stay in hospital as an 11 month old to help him feel settled again.
