Common Uses: |
Labdanum is beneficial in lymphatic drainage massage as it helps reduce swollen lymph nodes.
Tests have shown it to be effective against Staphyloccus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans which makes it a very good oil to use for varicose ulcers and bed sores, as well as eczema, psoriasis and similar chronic skin disorders.
Emotionally, it is similar to the Bach Flower Remedy Rock Rose (same plant) in that it can help with shock and trauma.
On a more gentle note, it enhances assertiveness, creativity, performance and self-awareness, and is used to help with addictions, forgetfulness, insomnia and quarrelsome... and as I write this I'm thinking this is the perfect oil for helping to treat the effects of concussion and wish I'd known that back in the day!
