Sweet Basil Ocimum basilicum

Sweet basil is a clear-pale yellow oil with an herbaceous, sweet, floral odour with anise-like back-notes, and a balsamic-woody undertone with a thin consistency and a top to middle note.

It is used for stimulating your Concious Mind, Happiness, Peace and Money which makes it an ideal blend for bathing products, candles, and diffusers.

I love this oil in soap as it is very refreshing, yet warm and comforting.  It's the bubble bath/shower gel you grab when you have come in from a long mentally taxing day and have to go off to a meeting or dinner celebration where you still need your wits about you.

The fresh scent of basil is uplifting, awakening, clarifying and stimulating, the oil is ideal when used in a diffuser/vaporiser to help relieve nervous tension, mild anxiety and the stress of study or work. However, be aware that if you are using it around others, they may find it too heady!

Blends well with citrus (bergamot, lime, neroli) and resin (frankincense, oakmoss) oils as well as other herbies (clary sage, geranium).
