BioCare® Evening Primrose Oil is a high potency capsule formula containing more than 1000mg of evening primrose oil as a source of gamma linolenic acid (GLA). 

Evening primrose oil has been used traditionally by the North American Indians and early European settlers for a variety of conditions.

GLA is an omega-6 essential fatty acid used as a precursor to eicosanoids, which are hormone-like substances involved in many metabolic processes. GLA is utilised in the formation of cell membranes and is converted in the body to prostaglandin PGE1, which is an essential biochemical process.  Your body cannot create GLA so it needs it to function effectively.
