Feeling congested but don't have a cold... Maybe sone Thermo-Auricular Therapy and Fascial Lymphatic Drainage Massage will help...
Ear candling is used for blocked sinuses and earaches and are helpful after flying as well if your ears haven't recalibrated on landing.
I use these for when my sinuses get inflamed due to allergic reactions. I don't get a drippy nose, I get an earache, lots of gunky red wax and blocked ears which lead to a sinus headache inside my skull, rather than on my face.
My son also found it helpful when he got a cold as he also suffered from asthma, and it helped his breathing when he was feeling clogged up.
Your appointment includes 2 candles and facial massage, incorporating aromatherapy and lymphatic drainage.
Sometimes an extra candle is required and they are $10 each.
Within 24 hours of an ear candling treatment, the body produces its own healthy, protective wax to rebalance naturally. It is suggested to drink more water and not to swim or shower within the 24 hours after the treatment to avoid getting water in the ears. If necessary, use a shower cap or insert earplugs. If it is windy or cold, outside, insert some cotton in the ears and keep it in until you are in a warmer environment.
Does it hurt?
Ear candling is a painless, harmless and totally relaxing experience. If it weren’t for the crackling and hissing sounds that occur from the burning of the waste deposits, you would never know anything was happening to your ear. There is an inflammable shield around the base of the candle to protect your skin, and I wrap your hair out of the way so you don't have to worry about any stray strands. Both ears should be treated, one after the other.
Precautions:
For safety reasons we recommend you do not use ear candles alone and that's why I'm here to help you. This will also help you enjoy a relaxing experience.
If you suffer from acute or chronic diseases, you may not be able to have ear candling, so please email me first if this applies to you.
If you have a perforated eardrum or tympanostomy tube implants you cannot have candling. The same applies to all kinds of inflammations of the ear or skin diseases in or around the ear.
If you are allergic to beeswax, paraffin or propolis, you may not be able to have your ears candled. On saying that, I am allergic to paraffin and I put some tape around the base so the candle is not in contact with my skin.
