Self-test for the detection of leukocytes, blood, nitrites and proteins in urine
URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS
Urinary tract infection is one of the most frequent pathologies affecting this area. The symptoms can be very different, such as: burning, constant urge to urinate and, in severe cases, lower back pain, fever and flu.
The urinary tract includes: upper urinary ducts, bladder, urinary ducts and renal pelvis. Generally, the infection originates in the urinary duct and then extends to the upper urinary tract until it reaches the kidneys. It is mainly women who suffer from it, due to the short urinary ducts that favor the penetration of pathogenic germs. Men are affected especially in old age, as an enlarged prostate could prevent urine from flowing out.
WHO IS THIS TEST FOR?
URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS TEST is intended for anyone who wants to check the presence of leukocytes, blood, nitrites or proteins in the urine, indicating a possible infection in progress.
The test should be performed in the presence of one or more of the following symptoms: frequent urination, burning when urinating, turbid and/or smelly urine. It is recommended to use the very first urine in the morning.
TECH SPECS
URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS TEST consists of plastic strips on which different reactive areas are applied. The test is intended for qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of leukocytes, blood, nitrites and proteins in urine.

F.A.Q.
What happens if the results reading time is not met?
The test has been carried out correctly when the instructions for use are followed. It includes the reading time and the interpretation of the results shown at the "RESULTS INTERPRETATION" secrion of the instructions for use.
How to prove that the test worked correctly?
A colored line will appear at the control region (C) on the test device, showing that the test performed correctly. The absence of the colored line suggests to repeat the test with a new device and a new sample.
