Description: Apricot oil is good for all skin types.  It is very rich and nourishing - particularly in vitamin A and Tocopherols α-, γ-, and δ-.
Aromatic Description: Apricot oil has very little scent characteristic of most carrier oils.  If you have a very sensitive nose, you may notice the bittter almond scent with a sweet overtone.

Fatty Acid Profile: The major fatty acid is oleic acid (62.34-80.97%) followed by linoleic (13.13-30.33%), palmitic (3.35-5.93%), linolenic (0.73-1.03%) and stearic (1.10-1.68%) acids depending on the source country.

Common Uses:

Apricot Kernel is a very popular oil and is suitable for manufacturers, aromatherapists and massage therapists.

It is a skin conditioning agent that is emollient, non-greasy and ideal for dry, tired and mature skins. It is suitable for facial skincare blends as well as massage blends.

Apricot oil can be added to creams and lotions at 100% of the oil content, or blended with other vegetable oils. 

Best form of Application:

To skin - Massage, compress, bath, ointment, skin care

History: There isn't a lot of information about the history of apricot kernel oil, however apricots were originally grown in China as early as 2000 BC before making their way around the world. 
Shelf life:

Apricot oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended and extends the shelf life, especially if it is being opened infrequently.
