Chromium Green Oxide

Chromium green oxide is a Chromium (III) oxide (Cr2O3) and is derived from the mineral chromite.

Green is available in 2 different shades -  the other is a jade colour and their CI number is the same being 77288.

This green is the one that is in my CIY Cosmetic Kits and is a lovely warm green shade which is mainly used in foundations, colour toners and eye products.  I like it in an eyeliner with some metallic blackstar green mica added to it. 

Iron Oxides are generally naturally occurring non-toxic inorganic mineral pigments sourced from iron and are considered safe for use in colouring products, including cosmetics and personal care products applied to the face, lips, and the area of the eye, provided they meet certain specifications.

,Iron Oxides are a colour additive exempt from FDA certification.
