Yellow Oxide #1

Yellow oxide is also known as Iron (III) oxide-hydroxide (Fe(OH)3) and occurs naturally in the mineral goethite. 

It comes in 4 different shades and they do affect your finished product, and to make life more confusing, they all have the same CI 77492 number. 

This is the yellow oxide that is in my CIY Cosmetic Kits, and if you have purchased from my old website and it's the right tone for you, this is the one you want.  

Iron Oxides are generally naturally occurring non-toxic inorganic mineral pigments sourced from iron and are considered safe for use in colouring products, including cosmetics and personal care products applied to the face, lips, and the area of the eye, provided they meet certain specifications.  

Iron Oxides are a colour additive exempt from FDA certification.
