Magnesium Stearate

A naturally occurring ester of magnesium and stearic acid, in a fine white alkaline powder form - consistency is similar to maize cornflour, light, fluffy, goes everywhere!

Benefits

• Used to improve adhesion and slip in powdered mineral makeup.
• Used as a non-gelling thickening agent in many cosmetic products including eyeliners and mascara, lipsticks and liquid foundation.
• Used in foundation powders, pressed powders, eyeshadow blends and blushes as a white colouring agent (opacifier).
• Also used in fragrances, deodorants, creams, lotions, pomades, ointments, cream shampoos..

Our powder is vegetable based, not beef based. This is similar to our Magnesium Stearate flakes that you can also purchase and add to your formulas. The difference is this is a very fine powder like mica.
