Description: Basil is a pale yellow to clear oil with an intensely fresh, sweet-spicy herbaceous and vibrant aroma. Major constituents: A typical chemical composition of Sweet Basil Essential Oil: a-pinene (0.11%), camphene (0.02%), b-pinene (0.07%), myrcene (0.13%), limonene (2.04%), cis-ocimene.

Indications: Basil oil may be used in a vaporiser or a massage oil to help relieve nervous tension, mild anxiety and the stress of study or work.

Emotions: The fresh scent of basil is uplifting, awakening, clarifying and stimulating. It is recommended for people who are complacent and melancholic.

Directions: Add 5 drops to oil vaporiser or 4 drops to every 10ml carrier oil, 1-3 times daily.

Safety: Basil is relatively non-toxic, non-irritant but possibly sensitising in some individuals. Do not use during pregnancy.
