Black oxide occurs naturally in the mineral magnetite

Believe it or not, black comes in 4 different shades, as well as Carbon Black and they vary more than the other colours do.  This one is a black black (the others are shades of grey to charcoal), and to their CI number is 77499.

This is the black oxide that is in my CIY Cosmetic Kits. I do not currently stock the other blacks, however they are available as an indent item.

Iron Oxides are generally naturally occurring non-toxic inorganic mineral pigments sourced from iron and are considered safe for use in colouring products, including cosmetics and personal care products applied to the face, lips, and the area of the eye, provided they meet certain specifications.

Iron Oxides are a colour additive exempt from FDA certification.
